I've come to a conclusion, people can't take my jokes

Honestly, I actually like the idea of having this title for each of my rant post. At the end of a few 100 chapters maybe I can compile it into a book and print it out.

If I'm a cheater, you're a mosaic pixelation

I couldn't find a better fitting picture so I made pretty text.
It's pretty, deal with it.

Let's talk about things that irritate me

It is was Halloween so I have to use a Halloween picture right? Yeah, I'm not good with scary stuff so here's a picture of a cat. - The World of Jun Xian, rants now with pictures

Alright, I've shifted my blog to Blogger for a more bloggy experience. Basically it's for my own benefit and not for yours. You're welcome.

Well, that's life. Wait, what was this blog's title again? Oh right, irritating things.

There has been things that have been irritating me. One example is how I had to manually fix up posts that I imported from Tumblr using some tools online. (Yes it can be done). That was tiring and I had to re-upload some of the images in case my Tumblr blogs ever go down. Another thing that irritates me is the way I put my blogs into paragraphs that make no sense. It looks so ugly to see a line of text and another chuck of text at the bottom. But I guess it can't be helped since that's the way I blog.

Anyway, one thing that irritates me a lot is people who are two-faced. And I can't believe I didn't see this one coming. So there's this person I know who's the fun type, the one that likes to relax, laugh and just, well, have fun. But the minute work starts it's like a total transformation into this, I don't even know how to put it into words right now, monster? Yeah, I'm trying to be nice, don't judge, I could use harsher words. So this monster is trying to convince us it's the boss and well, it doesn't work on me.

The way people try to lead a team is so wrong when there's that one person who tries to be the boss of everyone and command everyone to do something. And the worst part of all is when we try to help, what you should get is a "thank you" but instead we get a big "fuck you, I'm not stupid" in our face.

There will always be people who behave this way and I will never understand why. Is it too complex to understand this world is a fair place and you shouldn't behave like an ignorant brat?

So about that part time job… yeah… wait I forgot

Yeah, about that, I forgot all about it. That’s what you get for not writing about it the day it ended.

So I guess I would sum it up from the beginning till end? This will be a short one since everything about work in my mind has just went poof.

So I already talked about how I got the job and all those useless things in my previous posts, now on to the fun stuff, how was the job?!

It wasn’t what I expected it to be since I was lied to, but then again, there’s no such thing as easy money in this world. Yes, I actually had that small little hope that the job would be easy since I was told about all the awesome things you get from working there, great air conditioning, easy tasks, plenty of break times, lol. But in reality, those will never be true, unless of course there’s nothing particularly happening on that day itself, then by all means, have ten toilet breaks. Too bad for me though, that only happened on the last day of my job, great.

Back on topic, job, well… It was a job. I got hired, I did the things they wanted me to do, tried not to make mistakes, make mistakes, got the trust in me lost and my contract shortened. Do I hold a grudge against them? Nope. What’s done is done, really there’s nothing for me to say to them except goodbye because I’m gonna enjoy my long well-deserved break. Totally not a being a spoilt brat here.
The people there? I like some and I dislike some but that’s my own opinion, nobody has to agree or disagree with me. Again, I can’t argue with the fact that I was working for a serious company and I was expecting my colleagues to be friendly and sociable.

So I’m going to talk more about that “trust”. So I’m a careful person but when you expect me to be really quick at doing something every human on earth will make some mistake. There isn’t a human that’s so perfect that he is without flaws and can handle such a large volume of tasks without making a single error, if he can it must be his good day. But sadly for me, I made mistakes on the first few days and that’s when the higher management there started to lose their trust in me to do even the most simple tasks. I knew I was done for, and I was happy about it. No that wasn’t a typo, I was happy to lose my first job.

You know that thing about being “forced” to do something? Yeah, it doesn’t work at all. Back on “trust”, so I was already talked to by the higher management on the 3rd or 4th day and they told me I wasn’t serious so alright, that was the signal that I gotta go. The thing is, information leaks quickly and I knew that I was going to have my contract shortened literally a week before they wanted to tell me. Wait, they didn’t even attempt to tell me. So thinking back on it, I knew about it on the Friday because you know, I know things and they had the entire one week later to tell me, nope, they didn’t. Thankfully I had the final confirmation when I got a call from my recruit people-

And this is where I change topic for a moment. Yes, about the recruit people, you know is it really that hard to call me back after you tell me you’re gonna “call me back later”? Turns out, call me back meant that I had to call them back.

Back on the job, they told me if I knew my contract was shortened, I said yeah. They asked if I was told by the higher management why it was shortened I said nope, didn’t even tell me. And alright, we both agreed that it would be shortened. It was a win-win situation where my fellow colleagues with shorter contracts lengthened theirs, and mine gets shortened so I get more rest.

So I start to wonder, why didn’t they tell me about it? Am I that unapproachable? Sometimes I really do wonder that, I tried my best to fit in but I probably fit out even more. (Doesn’t make sense)

Overall, I got some experience from the job involving… opening letters oh gosh that’s going to look so horrible in my future resume. “Experienced in opening letters quickly”. Got some computer skills from it, yeah, they had their own system to key in information, too bad I was never trusted to do many of the keying in of data. I guess I was there for the physical labor, again, not what I expected.
I met some nice people, met some … not so nice people and met people who changed within a week of seeing them. Wow, what an experience huh? I really can’t talk much about the job because I’ll be sued or something like that so I would sum it up saying, work and have fun. If you’re not having fun just quit and find something fun. Work with your friends because they’re going to be that person who keeps you going back to work. (Or if they have free coffee then they’ll be motivation to keep going back)

This job was a neutral thing, nothing good about it, nothing too bad. Not bad for a first job huh? I guess what I should actually feel is hatred but who has time for that. I’m just happy to be able to do what I want for another month! Speaking of do whatever I want, I need to lose weight.
Oh dear… MacDonald wasn’t a good idea.

Friday, August 01, 2014

Oh hay, stop being so serious.

In life, you have fun and not be serious all the time.

Well everyone is an idiot because nobody follows that statement.

Unfortunately, some people are such “un-fun” people they take everything seriously. Yes, even games. Guys, please grow up and wake up.

I was just having my sports lesson today and as usual I felt like fainting during the warm up because of something wrong in my body, but that’s not the point of this post.

When it got to the games… everyone turned into vicious … I don’t even have a word for me, idiots? It’s like everyone in the hall turned from “oh let’s relax and have fun” to “SHOOT! F***! PASS HERE! DOWN HERE LA!”.

May I suggest you go see a specialist? Because something’s not right with your brain. We’re not here to play against each other or anything like that, we’re here to have fun, work together as a team, bond. Playing sports is about having fun, not screaming at each other as if we’re fighting. Heck, we’re not even competing for anything. We’re just trying to achieve a goal of 100 shoots into the basket (I did like, two…?). But everyone showed their “black face” at me and turned into some person with a nasty attitude.

There was this girl from the other class who told me not once, not twice but three times to “move!” when I wanted her to pass the ball back to me at the same spot (cause I’m lazy to move). That is what’s been on my mind the entire day, because I believe she isn’t a girl at all. /lol

But in all seriousness, she really is a douche. Do you have to be all serious about the game? Give me a break. You’re not even the coach, I understand your intention is to get me to take sports as a serious subject but unfortunately for you, sports is something meant to be fun to me but apparently to you, sports is war.

And she’s not the only one I want to complain about. Everyone was so motivated to make that 100th goal that it really pisses me off how they have to resort to being like a big ass. Like, seriously? You’re so dead serious about making that 100th goal you’re willing to go around with that shit attitude like “pass the ball to number 1!!”.

Stop. Will you just die already?

There was even a guy that tried to murder me with a ball flying straight to my face. I get it, you’re strong, but do you have to fucking try to kill me? I’m literally less than one meter away from you and you’re trying to do a long pass towards my face. Aww, you want me dead? I want you dead too!

You people need to relax, have fun and enjoy life. Stop trying to be that hardcore sports person. If you want to be that person, join the Olympics or something. I don’t even watch it so it’ll be perfect.
And stop it with that shit attitude you’re giving everyone. It’s disgusting if you think you’re actually a cool person for acting that way, because in my eyes you’re a horrible person that I never want to have contact with ever again.

The Fault In Our Stars Review & Rant about “the noisy cinema people”

So the movie is PG13, so this post will also be PG13. Shall we get started then?
May contain spoilers.

So I met up with my friend for our yearly outing and we decided to watch The Fault In Our Stars on the premier date for Singapore. Who knew the cinema would all be booked out leaving us no choice but to go for a 5pm+ timeslot.

So we went to the Golden Village cinema at Jurong Point and got surprisingly nice seats.
Here’s proof that I actually went there. See the “13” there? #swiftie

Dem fat hands

So we reach there rather early and there were playing Ed Sheeran’s beautiful song “All Of The Stars”… on repeat (the song sounded horrible through their shitty speakers). My friend got rather annoyed at the song after hearing it for the 3rd time while I was there lip syncing along to it because I love Ed Sheeran.

So the movie started and I watched it. (How interesting!)

Rant about the annoying movie people
Now here’s my rant about the cinema people. To the annoying group of people sitting to the right of me (H14+), kindly “go fuck yourself!” because you’re annoying as fuck.

You don’t need to comment on every single scene of the movie and laugh at inappropriate times. Why are you laughing when they are showing Hazel Grace’s face? And stop complaining about the book being better than the movie. You paid for a movie ticket, so watch the movie.

If you HAVE to comment on the movie every second please admit yourself to the mental hospital at least try to whisper to your friend. The whole cinema doesn’t need to know your opinion on the movie. And why not try watching the movie before you start your yapping! We’re not even 10 minutes into the movie and you’re giving your opinion already.

Also, I don’t need someone beside me to tell me “SOMETHING BAD IS GOING TO HAPPEN!”. I’m not an idiot. And stop spoiling the entire movie for the people around you. You think you’re being a great help but really you’re just being a big asshole. There’s enough of those people on Twitter that spoiled the movie before I even watched it.

Censored the spoiler, because I’m not that kind of person. That picture has been re-tweeted about a million zillion times and you don’t understand how much that made me hate the book readers. I get it, you read the book! GREAT! Now quit being a dick and let others enjoy the feeling you felt while reading the book, this time, in the form of a movie.

Review of the actual movie
I’ll keep this spoiler-free. I rate it a 7/10. Honestly with everyone on Twitter spoiling the whole movie I didn’t even feel like watching it any more. But I still went because I wanted some feelssssss. So after watching it, I have to say, it’s overrated.

Yes, I did feel sad at points of the movie and it’s a story interesting enough to not have me fall asleep. BUT, the story is way too cliché. It was very predictable and honestly, not very original. There was also one particular scene which I think shouldn’t be in a PG13-rated movie, that was rather disturbing. But it gave me the feels + Ed Sheeran (I’m bias) so it deserves a 7/10.

And that sums up my rant and mini movie review. Actually, a mosquito is biting the hell out of my legs so I’m gonna go to my room and hide from it.

There's never enough time is there? Grr...

I’m annoyed, frustrated, confused and lonely at the same time.  - Mr. Swift (me, to-be of course)

So our teacher promised us that if our class could all score A2 or higher for FNN we would get a class buffet. Fortunately, we all did and we were happy with our results. We planned ahead of time and decided to have the buffet in June. But when 2014 kicked in we all wanted to get high-tea instead. My teacher did resist a little and kind of denied our request.

Now here’s the funny part. Back in December (when we collected our results) we already decided to have it on one of the days during the March holiday break. Here’s the hilarious part, my secondary school decided it would be funny to make the students suffer during the March holidays with a bunch of remedial lessons, leaving them busy for the entire week. Now waiting three months just to find out at the very last minute that you’re not getting what you want pisses me off. But I let that slip, because I’m a impatient person.

So we were discussing another date to go and have our class buffet, we were doing great, almost sticking to a date… until a few people couldn’t make it on that particular date, either because of part time jobs or they are studying for ‘O’ levels. After that the discussion stopped as we all were giving our excuse for not being able to make it. I decided to end it off with a “let’s hold it until June”.

Almost three months have passed since the week we had planned to have our class buffet. I’m hearing no word from the people my classmates whether they are free or not. Even when my teacher asked around nobody replied but me.

Honestly I’m just hoping they will start replying soon with a date when we can meet up because this wait is killing me. Just one message saying they’re busy is fine. Having no one care at all kills me. They can’t possibly have no time this year to do anything other than studying. I have tons of assignments but I still make room for hours of relaxation and fun.

Life isn’t about 0.1% fun, 99.9% studying. It’s about balance. Unless you admit you’re a robot then sorry, you wasted your time reading this.

/rant

High-tea: Something not in Jun Xian’s dictionary.

Hilarious (sarcasm): Something absolutely not funny and it kind of makes you seriously angry, oh wait…

Ngee Ann PFP - Week 1 - Monday to Thursday

Firstly I need to say this, I can’t remember things. This is my experience in Ngee Ann being a PFP student in the school of ICT (sounds classy, but it isn’t). Just from what I remember. To sum it up, it was an overly-relaxing week. Seriously, just start lessons already. Not that I’m complaining I love slacking but this is too much man! GIVE ME WORK

There isn’t a lot of picture. Clearly I’m not that kind of person who takes tons of picture of the school campus. People would think I’m some foreigner or something if I did that. I don’t even know where Sentosa is so..

I tried my best to make this as non insulting as it can be. I’ve already unleashed any hurtful comments on Twitter anyway. /feels better

Ranting should be a medicine. Anyway,

Day 1

As you can see, I’m not good at taking pictures

Look, I was early I swear.

I got on the bus with my friend. We took off at 8:05am thinking we’d be late for our very first lecture. We ended up reaching campus 20 minutes earlier (well great). My first lecture was Fundamentals of Data Analysis… I think that’s what it’s called. Our teacher is a pretty nice person, she was friendly and socialised with the class really well. We didn’t have any lesson since half the class didn’t have the notes for the lecture. She went through some rules in class and how the subject is graded, we did a little ice breaker and then got dismissed… like… one hour earlier. Oops. Oh, she also said something about how both of us will show our true colours when semester starts since we’re still in the “dreaming mood”. I went to Makan Place for lunch and ate at the Nasi Lemak stall alone. The food there is, well, ehh… Nothing special. It’s super-super-super cheap though, $2 for quite a huge serving. Honestly I would eat this when I run out of money or something.

You don’t possibly need me to describe a Nasi Lemak right?

After my lunch I went to meet up with my district people to see them eat lunch. (Sounds weird but I’m too lazy to type out details) The second lecture of the day was math. Before I had my lunch I actually went to ourspace@72 to collect my pre-ordered math textbook. It cost $30, what a rip-off. Math lesson was good enough to not make me fall asleep. The lecturer wasn’t really clear in explanation or in telling us what we were supposed to do but he wasn’t boring enough to make me fall asleep. Bare in mind I dislike math and I’m completely bias. That pretty much sums up day 1 because I can’t remember anything else interesting that happened on that day.

Day 2

I went to school alone since my friend’s lecture started at a different time. First lecture was web publishing. It was a pretty dry lesson, let’s not talk about it. But it was fun when we were told to do an ice breaker. Since the first time I introduced myself it didn’t work I decided to use my good old nickname. “Bob”. This name originated in Secondary School from my good friend Syafiq. He started calling me Bob and people also called me Bob. I actually got annoyed at first but come to think of it, I actually like the name! My Secondary School English teacher also said Bob suits me as a name since I look like a Pendulum Bob.

Went to Makan Place again and this time I ate the hot plate stall that my GL suggested. It was really delicious but I kind of ordered the wrong dish. I didn’t like sweet sauce and I still ordered the fried chicken with sweet sauce set for $4. Oops. No photos because I was eating with some stranger, (You won’t believe how crowded Makan Place is). Second lecture was English, she reminds me of my previous English teacher. ;). English lesson was really dry too. I teared up a little during the day. (Too tired).

Before I went home we had a make up district dinner since nobody attended the previous one x). Quite fun to just talk crap and laugh. I ate food at the A&J stall… I’m scared to order from there now. I told the lady there I wanted the “M1”. She replied with a stern look “No.” That scared the crap out of me! My face was priceless. I gave her the “Har?” then she responded saying it wasn’t available. I ordered some spaghetti meal with fish, it wasn’t worth my $4. But really, please don’t scare me by saying “No” when I order something because it’s like saying you disagree with my order…

Ew, gross

Let me just say don’t stay in school till 5+ if you can. The bus stop and bus are super crowded. If you’re like me, a person that has no balancing skills what-so-ever, good luck. I almost fell down and died.

Day 3

We only had math for that day. Funny thing is, my timetable said to go to 07-04 but it turns out everyone was at 07-01. So I was in class like..

Forever Alone.

The lecturer went through lesson pretty quickly. I counted the number of breaks he took.. 3.. Also he needs to be clear on what we need to do in class. After he went through lesson he just see us do our work. Later one of my classmates ask if we need to do and submit one of the tutorial question. He said yes. Oh.. my.. god.. I was so shocked, he didn’t even say we need to do it. (It was written as something we needed to do on the Lesson Plan though) But lucky for me, I did it in advance so phew! He’s a funny guy but he needs to be clear on things… especially when it involves my grades! Lesson ended pretty relaxingly, went back to my secondary school to take some vouchers since my mom kept wanting to see money thinking I cheated her or something :c.

Day 4

Which is today! Wow, can I just say it has been a long and tiring day. Went to school with my friend and had English as my first lecture. It wasn’t as dry since we got to watch a video. Went for lunch at Munch and had pepper lunch for the first time in my life! Literally! It was pretty good to be honest (ordered beef .. something, I know it cost $5.80), I might order it again one day.. Oh and the carrot cake piece there is DELICIOUS <3. So glad I ordered two! One for just 60 cents. I might order two more tomorrow for my tea break before I head home.

It’s crispy, it’s oily, it’s purrfect

Went back to class for Computer Literacy lesson. This was pretty interesting since we FINALLY got to use our laptops in class. We got taught about what is a computer and other non important things. Looks like we’ll be learning Office. Third lecture of the day was web publishing. We learnt some HTML codes and how to use Dreamweaver… well not exactly, the lecturer just went through the slides. I did some self-learning.

And that pretty much sums up my 4 days in Poly so far. Now, you might be wondering, why not wait until the week ends to complete this blog? I’ll tell you why. There’s Sports & Wellness (P.E. to me) and Personal Development (CME?) tomorrow. And school starts at 8am. It’s going to be tiring, it’s going to be rage-worthy. Expect a long post for tomorrow. Actually don’t, because it might be fun. LOL!

I hate P.E. for all those that don’t know. I hate sports. I can’t swim, cycle, bike, run, sprint, play basketball, football, dance (insert any other sport in the world). I’ve never been good at sports so I’m usually the odd person. My whole class seems to like sports so we’ll see how tomorrow goes. Until then, see you and happy ranting. ;)

Update

Or don’t expect one at all. I’ll just sum it up. It was tiring but fun. Ironic huh? PD was boring, but fun. What?

NP PFP Camp 2014 - Day 1-3

Everything is clearly written based on my opinion. So don’t judge me if some things sound harsh! :( — If you’re gonna judge me please listen to Sara Bareilles’s “King of Anything”.

With that said, happy reading!

Also this is too long, so think of this as a book. It’ll feel shorter. ;)

Now let’s get to know a bit about myself. (That sounds too self-centered). I’m an anti-social quiet boy with no socializing skills. Oops, that’s the end of camp.

Day 1

So I started off entering into the Ngee Ann Youth Academy and I was greeted by the community members, well, we all were. They did their little welcome cheer that sounds like…

We say welcome

We say welcome

We say welcome, welcome, welcome

We say welcome, we say welcome

We say welcome, we say welcome

WELCOME!

And I was like “Who wants to go first?”… I signed my name, got a sticker and entered the little room and was greeted by my GL (Group Leader). His name is Gerald and he’s a cool dude. He was like “My name is Gerald” and shook my hand.  My welcoming senses just went tingling. I took a seat at the District 7 seat and waited for more people to come and we started to get to know each other. The first person I met was Wei Wen, I sat next to her and the GLs helped us know each other. She’s enrolled in Chinese Studies. We did a little introduction of ourselves and what course we were in. Later our second GL Suhaila introduced herself. She’s the crazy type of GL, jumping around places and shouting cheers. The camp committee sure like advertising their twitter names on the board. I didn’t bother following because mine is private anyway, and it takes too much effort to type most of their Twitter names. We got briefed about the camp and were told to come in with an open-mind. My bad.

After the briefing we went to the sports hall and did some Ice Breakers to help memorize our District member’s names. I forgot the sequence but I think it went like “Gerald, Amos, Wee Ern, Kevin, Adrain, Louis, Kasey, Wei Wen, Jun Xian, Jonathan, Poh Teck, Susu, Belinda, Katherine, Eliane, Hong Wee, Vanessa” I might have gotten their names wrong, sorry! I gotta admit, this was a pretty fun activity. We also learnt our first cheer the Chopping Cheer (District 7 = Axe). It goes like this..

Chop, we chop you down

Quake, we shake the ground

Now we break it down

Tremble upon our feet as we rock np now

Chop-che-chop ah x3

Chop! Chop! Chop!

Guys: He chop, he chop, he chop

Girls: She chop, she chop, she chop

We chop, we chop, we chop

Chop tomato

Ketchup, ketchup, ketchup x9

District 7’s gonna shut, shut, shut you down!

It’s really catchy.

After which we went for lunch. We ate hard and dry instant noodle that were fried. I think there were some vegetables in it, I can’t remember. Goodbye protein. Nobody needs protein. It wasn’t tasty, but edible.

We then moved on to play games. In no particular order because I can’t remember.. we played a teamwork game. We pulled strings which controlled a rubber band. We have to use the rubber band to move objects across obstacles. Challenging but fun.

Second game was to hit a ball upwards as many times as possible without it dropping, played as a district. We took a few tries to actually to get to 30+ (passing score). This just killed me, we were under the hot sun since this was located in the field.

The third game was a hula hoop game, we held hands and have to pass the hula hoop across this big circle. Those who have two of the hula hoop of same colour would have to do a forfeit. I was lucky my huge body could fit through the hoop.

Fourth game was a chair jumping game. There was a row of chair and we had to use our butt to jump across the row of chair to the other district. When the two players meet they will do a scissors-paper-stone, loser has to leave and get replaced by another district member.

Fifth game involved balloons and popping. Ironically, before we even started I accidentally stepped on my balloon. Way to go, Jun Xian! The objective is to step on other people’s balloon. District with the most people left in the court wins and losers do a forfeit. I couldn’t even tie the balloon onto my leg because the string was too short. Fats.

I totally can’t remember if there was a sixth game… Great…Somewhere in time we were introduced to our lofts and left our things there. It’s a really comfortable place if you actually on the air con. The GL in charge of bringing us to the loft kept saying we should keep our valuables in the loft, I actually believed him. I was the only person who left their phone there, so I suffered for the next half of the day. From then on I made this little quote, “Don’t always trust the GLs”. They’ll kill me if they read this. I have reasons to support this anyway (cough, solo night-walk nightclub).

We then had a PFP talk by some person… who I forgot his name. He’s probably the leader of the PFP Programme. We also had a Sports and Wellness briefing. I was shocked when they said no FBT. They’re just comfortable shorts, what’s wrong with them? A buffet followed, I had my plate filled with fried rice, chicken curry, ebi (tempura prawn), meatball, éclair, vegetable, sweet and sour fish and some other edible items. Also drank fruit punch. I got to meet some students from the school of ICT as well as the lecturers of the school. They were really nice and brought us back to the air conditioned music box room, but I forgot to tell my GLs and they got worried. That was my fault really.. fuck my stupidity.

We then heard a real ghost story about some haunted block 50 in Ngee Ann with the upper floors being haunted. Ended up watching two horror movies, “The Ring” and “Insidious” (I think). I hate jump scares so I tried to watch with my eyes closed for the first movie. So I was watching and taking a nap at the same time. Second movie I just gave up and took a nap because I was too tired. It was two movies consecutively. That’s 4 hours! It took so long for us to be able to go on our night walk, not even counting the time we had to wait after the movie.

So when we reached Block 50 I was pretty freaked out from the movie jump scares. We took the lift up and Ironically the upper floors were really locked. We were only allowed to access Floor 4 (the rest were covered with masking tape). I got jumped scared while laughing at a joke my friend made. I was like HahahaAAAAAH. We completed it quite quickly and returned back to the loft. Oh this is where the GLs scammed me by saying tomorrow we’ll have a solo night walk. Ok, continuing the story, damn, the walk from Block 50 to the loft was deadly. It was such a long walk and we were told to walk faster. RIP legs. It was 2:43am by the time I was done showering. The loft has wall sockets = free phone charging. I stayed on the 6th floor and the wifi signal there was crap. You have to stay closer to floor 1 to actually receive any signal. Thank god I had a little bit of 3g left on my phone for any important messages on Whatsapp. I tweeted a little and replied SMS that were from the afternoon (sigh) and went to bed.

Le wild charger.

Day 2

The view sure is great. Awesome sunrise blinded my eyes.

Woke up quite early and got ready quickly. Went to the NPYA and had even harder and drier noodles for breakfast than yesterday. We learnt a new cheer the Oi Cheer.

GL: District 7 Oi!

Axe Out!

GL: District 7 Oi!

Get ready!

GL: District 7 Oi!

D7’s gonna bring bring bring bring bring you down

We gonna claim claim claim claim claim our crown

We gonna boom-sha-ka-la-ka-eh! Boom sha-ka-la-ka-eh!

We gonna chop-che-chop our way, chop-che-chop our way, chop-che-chop our way

Chop!

We were also told to plan for a district performance. We agreed to do a dance after much discussion.

Lunch was some yellow fried rice I think. It scared me to death because I thought it was nasi briyani (I hate it) but thank god it wasn’t. We then proceeded on to games.

But before games I believe it’s when we did a little first impression thing kind of game. We were told to write our name on the top right side of the paper and pass the paper around. We need to leave down the first impression of our district members. Mine basically went kind of like “too quiet, need to talk more”. :)

First game was to hop on one foot with hands carrying it and bring opponent down. I obviously suck at it, I can’t even stand on a bus without grabbing on a pole.

Second game was to sit in a circle, play blow wind blow to shuffle districts and start by hitting one of the players with a stick. I got hit 3 times and was made to do a forfeit. Nothing too bad, just embarrassing myself. I already do it on a daily basis.

Third game was a defence and attack game. This was held in the field and it was freaking warm. It involved kingdoms which were like square areas. We had to enter other district kingdoms or steal each other’s strings attached to our arms to get points.

Fourth game was a blindfolding game. We were blindfold and treated like minions. We had to cross obstacles with the help of these angels. I kept getting grabbed by those devils and forced to walk somewhere else. I was like “no go away, I tired”,

Dinner was fried rice, this time not yellow. It had sweet and sour fish in it. No complaints. Edible and better than some dry noodles. After which we went for the performance and only some districts performed because of limited time. Now I was expecting a horror night walk, guess what happened? We got a night club. We literally went to a dark hall and party by jumping all around. It was so much fun! No sarcasm here, that’s the best part of camp. After that we returned to our loft.

It was only 11:20pm I was like, o-m-g we get to sleep early? Sadly we got a debrief and they said we had to shower by 12 midnight so that we can cross-bunk. Huh? What on earth is a cross-bunk? I want to sleep!! It’s actually visiting other apartments and socializing with other districts. I think we socialized with District 9. We played eye-candy and sadly.. I have none. LOL, I’m not being mean, I just don’t find anyone interesting. Sorry ;_;. We finished at around 1am and I slept at 2am+.

Day 3

Woke up and went back to NPYA. Wow we had fried carrot cake for breakfast! My favorite dish. Thank god they didn’t screw it up too badly. It tasted sweet rather than oily and salty (the way I like it). But the way my district ate it was hilarious. They separated the spring onion and ate the carrot cake whaaaa… Some of them only finished half of it and my GL didn’t think it tasted right. I still ate the whole thing anyway. My favorite dish, screw food poisoning!

We moved on to play “dirty games”. The first one we played was sliding across a wet soapy mat to collect bottles and run back to our district. That was super fun. Second game we sat in a circle and sang happy birthday while passing a few bags of fruit punch and mud water. When we stop singing the person holding on to the bag of disgusting stuff have to splash the thing on their head. Awesome right?! I had to splash myself twice. Wasn’t the best idea to wear black… But nah, I didn’t mind since I was on my “Last day, bye camp, just be happy!” mood. After the game we had more games planned but lightning came. My mind just went “thank the lord, thank god, thank everybody.” Finally I can get some rest from my sticky situation. Yeah right! I was sabotaged by Susu to join a little drama performance. Then I got tau pok (squashed people and got squashed by people). After everything we went to shower. We were told to shower in 5 minutes. I just went in, rinse myself for 2 minutes and went out. I gave up, the freaking annoying people kept banging outside. It’s not like I was covered in mud and fruit punch. /sarcasm

Lunch was held in the stadium and it was dry bland bee hoon. We took some photos and went back to NPYA to complete our district performance. It was fun and we watched our camp completion pictures. I think I appeared like twice, both unglamorous as ever.

Since you read till here I’ll give you a present. Here’s the ugly picture of me doing a retarded smile. Hope it makes your day brighter.

As you can see, I'm alone.

And that basically sums up camp from whatever I can remember in 5 days. Can you believe I took 5 days to write this? Damn… At least it was overall an enjoyable-dirty-tiring-hard ride. :) <- that sounds dirty

Thanks for reading and thanks everybody who planned the camp! ◉◡◉

A day of cleaning

So I decided it would be “fun” to clean up my work/study/play area. This is what it looked like before and after

There really isn’t much of a difference huh…

Well moving on, I was forced told to clean up the chair that held all my old school books and papers.

While cleaning I found a bunch of cool stuff that I never knew I had. Weird huh?

Stuff:

That’s what I call dedication

I passed geography?!

Unreadable shit ^

Here’s what I think it says

Day 1 - Sleeping
So we got screamed at for not cooperating. (Ended up in shelter). Well, the ground was is wet (can’t sit, can’t squat). The girls and boys got split up later. The boys ended up sleeping on muddy floors and get soaked up in s***. Oh! And I took so long to brush my teeth (queue was so long) that I ended up debating wtih someone (camp leaders)

Day 2
Hardly slept! Tired and wet… Argh, walked off with C and J to go around camp, I was freaking cold. It then turned freaking hot when I returned to bed… Well stopping here till later. (Going) to bed already

Here’s what I read it wrongly as:

Doy 1 - Sleepihg
So we got screaned at.
tor not coorporoding
Well, the grond was wet (Cat St)
Con’t Squat.
the girls and boys got splitted up later
aww… lol.
the boys sleep on muddy fbors ard
Soaked up shizzles.
OH! Took so long to brush teeth =_= had to debate with someone too

Day 2
Hardly slept! Tred and wet…
Hrgh, walled off with C and J to go aroud camp, I was frealeng cold
-> Then furned freaag not when I returned LOL :D
Well stopping here till later
too bed dready

I don’t even…

And then stuff got thrown away.

Yay! I forgot what I was gonna post. Oops.

Oh well, the end.

A day at IKEA (and other stuff)

Ultra long post ahead. You’ve been warned.

Well that was a tiring day. But I finally have something decent to blog about!

I woke up, went for a 4 round walk around my neighborhood park to evade the noise of the iRobot every morning. Pretty good start to my day huh?

Except I ate too much for lunch. My mom made a bunch of delicious food which made my lunch calorie budget go ka-boom. I ate fried rice with Chinese sausage, vegetable with prawn and the killer dish, steamed egg & soy bean curd with minced meat. I ate like, half of the entire dish.

No I don’t feel bad.

We went to the IKEA outlet at Alexandra Road? I’m not good with directions anyway.. to purchase my sister’s “important needs” being a chair, table and bookshelf.

It’s been years since I went to IKEA. The furniture there looked amazing. Got me thinking about what my future house would look like (haha, as if I’ll become a successful employee and earn some decent money. I’m probably gonna slack off and end up being homeless). I didn’t actually purchase anything since I love to not spend money. Maybe I got a chair cushion… but that’s about it.

After a long walk and trying out loads of chairs and beds because I can, we stopped for a break at IKEA’s restaurant / food-centre / food stall / kopitiam. I’ve never had a meal there before and I have to say, the food was pretty good.

Food: 2 cups of coffee; Meatball, mashed potato with brown sauce & raspberry sauce; Salmon with butter sauce, mixed vegetables and some potato thing potato medallion; Chicken with broccoli and fries

Meatballs were delicious and fatty (in a good way) but the mashed potato wasn’t that great, didn’t taste buttery at all. Brown sauce was alright. I’m not a fan of having something sweet with something salty, so I disliked the raspberry sauce with the meatballs.. meatballs just overpowered the flavor in the raspberry.

The mixed vegetables were, meeh… The potato medallion (something I’ve never eaten before) tasted awful, it tasted like blended green peas and bread. The salmon was really dry but according to my parents, it’s “healthy” ;).

The broccoli was overcooked so it’s chewy instead of crunchy (there are days when I like them soft and there are days when I like them hard). Fries were soggy and the chicken was edible. I really don’t have much to say about this.

The cheesecake was amazing. It tasted like cream cheese cake and not those spongy types with a layer of biscuit at the bottom, mmm… I don’t have a close up image of it because my sister hogged the entire piece cake before I could even take a good shot the cake vanished.

Oh and if you’re wondering, the coffee tasted like coffee. Yes my taste buds can only taste generic food. Too bad!

After finishing the food we proceeded to the first floor. I saw some pretty lamps that would go great on my spacious space-less table. Didn’t buy it though, because I’m a money-less person.

We paid for our items and proceeded to collect them. Wow did that take long. And headed to the car park to park our stuff. Oh my god, there was no space our car was too small. My mom and sis ended up sitting with their legs crossed while I enjoyed to front seat because me, being a fat person, would never be able to sit crossed-leg at the back seat.

I’m sure you can make out where I’m at in that photo (probably).

Headed home and since my dad dropped off the heavy items at the drop off point we still need to carry the items up to our house, my mom came up with the best way to move the items. She tilted the boxes and made them “walk” to the lift, and it worked! Wow, I’ll use that method to move heavy things next time.

So that’s my day in a nutshell essay. That was tiring. Nobody reads this anyway.

What's so fun about being emotionally sad?

Seriously, what’s so fun about sad?

I’m on Twitter & Facebook (Woooow, who even uses it anymore) everyday and the amount of those sad tweets and posts like “I need someone in my life food to care for me” or “I feel shut out of this world hippo” really annoys me.

Being sad makes you so much less productive. It brings your overall self-esteem down. Is it that great? Being happy brings so much more positive effects to your body.

Is it that hard to be happy? I mean, I get sad too but I try to make those times a funny experience.

Just like that time I lost my report book. I was really fed up I just had to tweet something and rant it off. But I made some jokes about it too like I lost my book in the Bermuda triangle.

So please, just live life being happy. Learn to smile without worries, laugh your troubles away and make sarcastic jokes. (but you can't be too sarcastic, people don't like it. life lesson learnt.)

People and their interest in disgusting photos

One of the reasons why I left Facebook is because I hated everyone's posts there. I would refresh Facebook and get a load of bloody pictures with flesh or animals being abused and I’d be like.. um.. yuck.. Way to ruin my day by showing me some red bloody organs or something.

Okay, I know I’m being unreasonable. Sure, sometimes you have to use disgusting photos to share a message but don’t abuse it.

I was on Twitter just refreshing and waiting for something interesting and boo! A picture of someone’s leg apparently (probably photoshoped) ran over by a bus. His leg was in blood and the flesh was visible. Did I mention he was holding a phone? So the internetz thought it would be funny to caption the picture as “lol let me tweet about this" or that "trend" with the annoying girl saying "but first, let me take a selfie shitfie”. That’s just plain wrong.. I have my Twitter option to hide sensative media on and it didn’t do it’s job at all.

Back on topic, why the hell would anyone think a photo like that would be funny, and even retweet it to let the world look at it and laugh puke?

So I’m going to guess people like seeing human flesh, blood and other things disgusting? And they love using disgusting pictures to make a joke? I must be the strange one lingering in your world.

Weirdos.

I almost spelt photos as photoes. Probably thinking about potatoes.

How exercising is (not) fun

So since I’m freakishly fat after eating that swensens mega lamb burger and chips in the cinema while sipping on a sweet bottle of apple tea I thought I would exercise a little.

(That burger was edible btw. Heck, here’s a picture of my meal I forgot to post anywhere)

I thought I would make the effort to lose some weight by walking 40 43 minutes in the morning and another 40 50 (I’m slow) minutes in the afternoon with my friend. Adds up to 12 rounds around the park downstairs. So I made the effort, walked and burned about 600 calories. (I finally achieved something in life..)

So after walking I’m sure hell as tired and my feet is so full of blisters I thought I finally could regain balance in life and get back on track to weight loss.

NOPE.

That didn’t happen. The next day I woke up guess what? I have the exact same weight as yesterday morning. Well, that’s a miracle, how ironic. Well at least I had a great sleep. When you’re tired and you sleep it’s like, wow that feeling is so sensational. But anyway, back on topic. Damn, losing weight is hard man.. I might walk again toady but heh, I can’t put in the same energy as yesterday.
I totally lost my chain of thoughts so I’ll end it here.

I'm weird

Am I weird for keeping the Cornetto Ice Cream code lids on their ice cream.

Yeah I'm weird.

But Taylor is pretty so I'm not weird.
